These are high blood pressure symptoms?
High blood pressure symptoms are really lacking and
that's why it is known as the silent killer. Even if a person thinks
they have high blood pressure, their complaints are usually non-specific
and can be caused by a number of other conditions.
For example, if a person complains of headaches, dizziness,
blurred vision and nausea, all of which could be caused by high blood
pressure, but they could also be the result of another condition.
Unfortunately, the first time a person with high blood
pressure symptoms or hypertension seeks a doctor is when they have
an organ failure such as heart attack, stroke kidney failure and blindness. Do
not be one of those who "discovered" a symptom of having one
or more organs to fail.
The only sure way to determine if you have high blood
pressure is to get your blood pressure measured. Your doctor will
probably want to make two trips so he could compare measurements over a period
of time. It can also teach you how to take your own blood pressure and
recommend a device that you can use at home.
A word of caution here. Many pharmacies have
"automatic" machines blood pressure measurement, usually
located at the pharmacy. Reading off these machines may or may not be accurate
that all depends if the cuff is well suited to your arm.
Hypertension HBP and affect more than 71
million Americans. The American Heart Association estimates that a third of
people who suffer from these conditions do not know. This disease is too
dangerous to ignore. Do you measure your blood pressure, even if you do
not think you are at risk. Better know not.
The real kicker is that this deadly disease is 90%
preventable and reversible without resorting to drugs. One may wonder why we
are still dealing with this enormous medical problem when a balanced diet
and exercise can cure it.
